This collection of papers was written by Charles Darwin (1809-1882). Darwin, a naturalist and geologist, is best known for his theories on evolution and natural selection. Many of his published works describe natural phenoma Darwin observed while traveling the world, and also accounts of scientific observations made in his home country of England.
